Jaxon's Progress Report

We had Jaxon's parent teacher conference today. His teacher said he's doing really good. She explained that the rating below is: 4 is above grade level, 3 is at grade level, 2 is below grade level. He has almost all 4's! We are so proud of him! At least we know what to work with him on now!

New Dollhouse

I have been wanting to get Jerzie a dollhouse for Christmas. I found one I kinda liked at Target for $120 plus I'd have to buy furniture. So, then we started looking on ksl.com for used ones. I found quite a few but none that were big and that I really really liked. Then I was at Costco and came across this and bought it right then. It was only $80 and comes with 13 pieces of furniture. I'm really excited to play with it. It stands about 4 feet tall so it will be nice and big!

Pumpkin Patch

I took the kids to the pumpkin patch Saturday afternoon. Here they are with their pumpkins. Jerzie wanted the little tiny one so that one and the one next to her are her's. Jaxon wanted to play on the bouncy toys so he did that for the first little bit and then picked out his pumpkin.

Each month at school Jaxon's class memorizes a poem, his poem for October is:
Pumpkin, Pumpkin Big and Round
I'm so glad you grow upon the ground
I'm glad you don't grow on a tree
For then, you might fall on me!
Since I didn't post it anywhere last month I'll post his September's poem.
2 little apples high in the tree
2 little apples smiling at me
I shook that tree just as hard as I could
Down came the apples, Yum were they good!

Update on my Dad's Condition

On Monday, the 19th my dad went to Seattle to meet with the Endocrinologist, Dr. Christine Snyder. She called me today to tell me how the appointment went and what the plan is at this point. She is not the one doing the surgery she is the one treating him until he is stable enough to have the surgery. When my dad left Kadlec, the Dr there gave him a prescription for some medication(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenoxybenzamine or (http://www.medicinenet.com/phenoxybenzamine-oral/article.htm The pharmacy called my dad and told him this medication would cost $700 and since he couldn’t afford it he didn’t get it. When he met with Dr. Snyder she told him they would give him this medication because without it he won’t get stable enough to operate. He is taking 10 mg 3 times a day for the first week, then 2 times a day for the 2nd and 3rd week. She wants him on this medication for 2-3 weeks. He will need to go to Seattle again to meet with the surgeon and the anesthesiologist so she is having the surgery center coordinate their schedules so he can meet with both of them on the same day. She asked me to give her a little bit more of his history. She said I don’t know how many of these conditions are from the tumor or just separate issues but removing the tumor he will definitely see a huge improvement. So, that is the most current update I have. Please continue to send your love and prayers to him!

Here are a few more links: His condition is called Adrenal Pheochromocytoma
