Lights on Temple Square

Last night we went with our bestest friends Nate and Trevor and their family to see the lights on temple square. It was cold but not freezing so I'm glad we caught some decent weather to go see the beautiful sights of temple square at Christmas time. Afterwards, we went to Trevor and Chrystal's for yummy hot chocolate and hanging out. It's always fun to get together with them!

Our cute family!

Horsing Around

The other day Jaxon and Jerzie wanted to give each other piggy back rides. I thought it was SO cute, they were making each other laugh so hard and having a good time. I love it when they get a long and play nice with each other.

Please ignore all the boxes, gotta LOVE packing!

Company Christmas Party

My Company had their Annual TreeHouse Employee Appreciation Night last night. It was really fun! We had it at a country club. The food was REALLY good!

Here are some picts of me and Jason:

These pictures are after dinner. I sat at a table with my coworker Raegan and her husband Kenny and another coworker Todd. We laughed SO much, it was so fun!

After dinner we did our Secret Santa exchange. It's always fun to see what everyone gets.

This is Paul and we nicknamed him Princess Paul. He lives in Minnesota and when he mails me his expense reports he would use Princess stamps, so one day I asked him why he had Princess stamps and he said they were his wives. But then I showed it to some of the guys in the office and we started giving him grief. So it was AWESOME that William had his name cuz he got him a Princess tiara as a gag gift but also for a good laugh!

My Dad's Surgery

Thur. Dec 3.My dad had his surgery today. His sister, my aunt Kathy from CA, is there with him. He is in Seattle. What I know as of 4:30 UT time is that the Dr's took him back at 6:00 a.m. started the surgery at 9:00/10:00 UT time. It was suppose to be a 3 hour surgery. Around 12:50/1:50 UT time I got a text that said they had to open him up as the scope did not have enough access. They had not removed the tumor yet but he was stable. Then I found out that at 1:13/2:13 UT time that the tumor has been removed. I will not get to talk to my dad today but I will give my aunt Kathy a call after work and give more of an update.

Fri. Dec 4 - I talked to my aunt Kathy and she said that when they were using the laproscopic scope they found lesion type things on his kidneys so they cleaned that all up and then realized they weren't gonna be able to get the tumor out with the scope so they had to cut him open. It was good that they cleaned it up before they cut him open though so that his incision is smaller. When I talked to her at 4:30/5:30 UT time, he was still in recovery and she had not seen him yet. She was told they were moving him to ICU so she was waiting up there for him. She got off the phone with me to find out what was going on. She called me back at 7:30/8:30 that night to tell me that he is doing good and they are just going to let him rest. I got a text from her this morning at 9:55/10:55 UT time saying that they are moving him out of ICU today and that he is doing great! I'm so glad he's doing good!

I asked my Aunt Kathy how my dad looks and she sent me this picture! He's giving me a thumbs up, so I think he is doing good!

Monday - Dec 7 I called my dad yesterday afternoon and learned that he is not doing very well. He is having a hard time breathing, they want his oxygen levels to be at 92% and his were at like 85%. He is also starting to go into kidney failure. He has a descended stomach, which is causing him to be very uncomfortable, and a massive bloating feeling. They are monitoring him and giving him breathing treatments to help him get more comfortable. When I called him this morning, he said he's still feeling the same. They still have him on a liquid diet, yesterday they gave him ice chips to eat. They had to move his intestines during the surgery so they don't want him to eat anything yet.

Thursday - Dec 10 Yesterday my dad was suppose to be released from the hospital but he started throwing up and pooping blood. So they kept him to find out why. They took him up to ICU, gave him a blood transfusion and put him on a respirator. So, today they did a scope on him to find out where the bleeding is coming from. They were able to find that he had a bleeding ulcer, and were able to get it to stop. Right now they are going to do another scope just to make sure that his bleeding has stopped, if they got it all then they will take him off the respirator and move him out of ICU.

Friday Dec 18 - My dad is FINALLY released from the hospital and on his way home. It has been a few weeks of an emotional roller coaster for him but he is feeling good and should have a good recovery now. I'm thankful he is going home!

Jason's Parents Come to Visit

Jason's parents decided to come to Utah for Thanksgiving. They flew in on Tuesday afternoon. After I got off work we went to dinner at Sizzler! They used to have one in WA but it closed down and we go there at least once a week and wanted to take them this time. Then we went to the mall because Sue forgot a coat so she had to go buy one.

On Wednesday Jaxon had school, Jason and I worked so Cal and Sue watched Jerzie and then after I picked Jaxon up they watched him. I got off work at 12:30, Jason got off at 4 so around 3:00 we left to go to Wal-mart to get the rest of the stuff we need for the turkey dinner. After we were done at Wal-Mart Jason, Cal and the kids came home to get dinner going and I took Sue to IKEA! She was in LOVE, she wanted to take that store back to WA with her. She got me a BIG mixing bowl so we could have one to make the bread in. We came home and ate dinner, then we started the turkey. She likes to stuff the turkey and she also puts the turkey in around midnight and cooks it at 200. So, we did that and all night I could smell the yummy turkey cooking! We got up around 9:00 and started the rest of the cooking!

Jaxon got a hold of my camera and wanted to take pictures. Thank goodness because I totally forgot to take any.

Pictures of Sue and I making bread (see my new big mixing bowl on the washing machine :) )

Then he had to do a self portrait! He's so cute!

Checking on the turkey

Oh boy, doesn't that look yummy!!!
Jaxon and Jerzie just wanted to have paper, glue and scissors and that kept them occupied for HOURS! And allowed us to cook cook cook!

Jerzie taking a rest!

This is what Jason and Cal did, watched football!! haha

Then Jason remembered that we got a new tree last year after Christmas and got all excited and started putting it together without me. So I snuck in to get a few pictures.

I love how excited they are.

No more Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It looks really good and we had lots of fun decorating it.
On Friday, we slept in and around noon we headed to Wal-Mart and Cal and Sue got TONS of presents for all the grandkids and even some for us. She wanted to leave the big presents here for the kids. Then we took them Cafe Rio for lunch. And we just hung out and visited. Their flight flew out Sat morning at 11:00 so we said our goodbyes and that was it! I'm really bummed that I didn't take very many pictures while they were here, I guess I was in the moment preparing all our yummy food and then eating it that it slipped my mind! I'm really greatful they were able to come and spend Thanksgiving with us this year.

Blessings Received

I feel so incredibly blessed the past few months. Amidst, several trials we are experiencing as a family, the blessings keep pouring in.

First blessing I'd like to share is Jason has been working at GNC in Draper, UT part time since July. He was just promoted to be the store Manager in the Riverton, UT store. So, he will get a raise, 40 hours a week, will get to make his own schedule and he will get commission on whatever the store does. We are very excited for this opportunity and I'm proud of him!

Second blessing is an amazing opportunity that has opened up for us. As most of you know we just moved to Sandy UT from Lehi UT. However, our best friends (Nate and Allie Wilcox) bought a house this summer that was in foreclosure and needed some fixing up. He has been working on the house full time and has made a lot of progress. The house is 3600 square feet and has 2 living spaces. So while he was fixing the upstairs they were able to live in the downstairs. Upstairs there is a living, family and dining rooms, kitchen, 3 bedrooms 1 that is a master so there are 2 bathrooms. Downstairs there is a living, family and dining rooms, kitchen, laundry room, 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. They are at a point now where they want to rent the downstairs to someone and so they offered it to us!!!! It's 1800 square feet (which is 500 square feet more than we currently have), we will have our own entrance, we will share the laundry room with them and he will still be remodeling and so because of that the rent 60% less than what we pay now. As soon as we can find someone to take over our lease in the house we just moved to, we will be moving again. So, if you know anyone looking for a cute 3 bed, 2 bath house in Sandy, please let us know!

I am so greatful for all that I have and feel the Lord's hand in my life as I obey his Commandments. I'm so greatful for the Lord and all that he provides me in my life. I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving this week and may we all acknowledge all that we have and where it came from.
